Calling All Overlords: A Dark Dealings Giveaway

You always knew that your ill-gotten territory was inevitably going to be encroached upon by annoying heroic do-gooders. It’s the plight of so many evil overlords such as yourself. Those fearless men and women, risking their own safety and well-being, for what? To help out a bunch of farmers and townspeople they barely know? You rightfully subjugated them on a bone dragon steed. You keep most of them alive at the highly affordable cost of 90% of their income. What more could these peasants want?

Seems like they’re just being fed a bunch of hero-spewed propaganda. You raze a dozen villages to the ground and suddenly you’re the bad guy? They should be thanking you, really. Had we let those places stand their inhabitants might have risen up against you, which would have only created more violence in the region. The last thing they would have wanted was endless bloodshed.

So, yeah. It seems that the folks around your citadel have brought in some ringers, and they’re making your life pretty miserable. Not only are they killing your minions and wrecking up your defenses, but one of the rogues snuck in and stole your favorite skull mug, leaving you with only one option – calling your bosses for some reinforcements.

This is the setting of Dark Dealings, a light card drafting and programming game about defending your evil kingdom from plucky adventurers. In this short tower defense style game, players first draft which heroes they want to face in a set order. Then they must build up their castle via simple defense cards. Finally, players take turns running said heroes through the gauntlet of their defenses. As the number of bodies goes up, however, the defenses break down. If any hero gets through, it’s curtains for you and your evil reign. The last evil overlord standing will take over ruling the kingdom.

What’s left of it anyway.

Since a few heroes are sadly going to succeed, we have to prepare for some openings in the Evil department. That’s where you come in, if you think you have what it takes. So grab your Cowl and best evil monologue, because it’s time to dial things up for some Dark Dealings.

From now until midnight EST on July 31st you can check the contest out on our Facebook page, or by entering below. Just follow the entry form and proceed with the contest. The more you do, even if just one, you still have a better chance than not entering at all. Of course you’re welcome to do that too. But your odds of winning drop to zero. No pressure or anything.
