Insta-Impressions are a series of raw initial observations about games over on our Instagram account. Not intended to be highly complex or nearly as comprehensive as our standard reviews, these offer up visually fun and timely feedback of games hitting our table that may take months to get reviewed in full, if ever.

Happy Friday! It’s been admittedly light on these roundups lately, as Erin mostly controls posting those and she’s been super busy with grad school. Still, we have something to at least (even if she didn’t get to play it). We’ve amassed our assortment of Instagram-based mini observations of games played over the last week to share with you here. Cattack! No.1

Cattack! No.1 (yes, that’s it’s full name), is an adorable super short Japanese game about cats playing Volleyball a friend picked up for us at Essen. You use cards to direct the movement of the ball over the net; the first team to 3 points wins. The premise is silly if not entertaining, the playful art is fantastic, and the whole thing makes for a fun 15 minute experience. The most amusing part: when you score, one of the cats in your back row gets bored and falls asleep. – Ryan
