New Games:

Steve Jackson has announced a few upcoming titles for September release: Knightmare Chess 2 is an updated version of Knightmare Chess, which aims to throw a wrench into your typical chess game by giving each player a set of cards that interact with the game in unpredictable ways; Mars Attacks: The Dice Game is exactly what it sounds like and no, I don’t know why; Munchkin Halloween Packs come in twenty varieties, each with four cards.

Z-Man Games is bringing back Zooloretto. It’s a family-friendly game about sets and running a zoo. You have to bring in the animals to bring in the crowds, but you also have to be careful about where you put each enclosure. Can’t have the lions next to the gazelle, after all.

Crowdfunding Corner:

AlakaSLAM – Eye4Games first Kickstarter AlakaSLAM has already funded, but that’s no reason not to jump on board now. It’s a humorous, quick (approximately 30 minutes) game about wizardry and tennis. In the world of AlakaSLAM, true wizards test their mettle on the court, facing off against foes while dodging hexed balls and avoiding the net. A $17 pledge will get you a copy of the game. We’ll have a preview of it out early next week.

Albion’s Legacy – A co-op adventure game with a modular board, Albion’s Legacy lets players explore the world of King Arthur. $45 Canadian gets you a copy of the game.

The GODSFALL – This RPG is set in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world. A god has crashed to Earth and triggered the end of days, only the days did not technically end. Godsfall features a streamlined system and an immersive world.
