Weekly News

12/19/13

New Games:

There’s going to be a Disney Princess Trading Card Game. I know nothing about it other than that, but I have a feeling that if you’re going to be interested in a Disney Princess game, you’re going to be interested in it regardless of the mechanics. People like their Disney. (via Purple Pawn)

Expansions:

Fantasy Flight is putting out a number of things, including:

Join Us or Die (incidentally, I’m using this same text on my wedding invites) for the Star Wars LCG

The Firelands, a new expansion for Talisman featuring genies

The Champion’s Purse for the Game of Thrones LCG

Honor and Profit, a “deluxe” expansion for the Android LCG

Crowdfunding Corner:

Antillia and the Lost Cities of Gold is a beautiful (though pricey) game that looks to be part tabletop, part board game.

Other News:

There’s soon to be a new crowd-funding site devoted solely to games. It’ll be interesting to see how GameFunder competes with giants like IndieGoGo and Kickstarter. (via Tabletop Gaming News)
