Weekly News

10/31/13

New Games:

Pandasaurus is releasing two new games: The Great Fire of London and New Amsterdam. That’s about all I know for now, but I’ll keep you posted.

Train Heist, by TowerGuard Games, is up on The Game Crafter. The title pretty much says it all – you rob trains. Planning and executing the heist, while out-maneuvering law enforcement, is the name of the game, here. (via PurplePawn)

Expansions:

Fantasy Flight is putting out a new expansion for Descent: Journeys in the Dark, Second Edition. It comes complete with new characters, maps, abilities, and so on. Fantasy Flight is pretty good with the expansions (See: all of Arkham Horror), so I’d reckon that this is worth looking into.

Other News:

Jeez, all the old game pieces are popping up lately. Archeologists have discovered a game piece dating back to the Heian Period of Japan, which means it’s likely about a thousand years old. Remarkably, the wooden piece survived in a well in Nara, Japan all this time. (via PurplePawn)
