The Alien Preservation Society: A Lift Off Giveaway

We’re not quite sure what they precisely did to cause it, or why they couldn’t stop it, or even who ‘they’ are exactly, but one thing is for sure: their little alien planet is going to explode. Mega fireworks. Total extinction. Full-fledged Alderaan-level destruction.

Things are looking pretty bleak on this foreign world, but to make matters worse, there’s two really big problems that have yet to be solved.

First, is that many of the aliens are still on the planet. Yes, as we dawdle here, there is a mass evacuation going on right now. There are only a few days left until The End, and they’re trying to use any possible means of transportation to escape. From rocket ships to pogo sticks, nothing is off limits if they can get to freedom.

In this lightweight semi co-op game, you take control of one of these alien factions and are tasked with making sure you get your entire clan to safety. Utilizing a modular board (planetary instability and all), many of the ways of escaping the whole ‘explodification of everything’ are much easier to accomplish when working together with the other players’ aliens.

However, as resources, time, and the general population start running thin, it becomes every little grey and green alieneeple for themselves!

The second problem is that we’re not quite sure where they are going to go once they do escape. Are they even capable of surviving out in the vast cosmos? Watching this whole thing unfold, we’re pretty skeptical at this point. Hence why we are forming the Alien Preservation Society: a group of concerned citizens who seek to watch over the aliens as they find a new home.

Because this is such a new organization with a lot of aliens to monitor, we need new members in a hurry. So we’re starting off with a pledge drive, and we’re raffling away a copy of the game to every person who joins the rolls!

Your main responsibility of the Alien Preservation Society is ensuring that you watch over and document the current actions of the aliens as they try to find their new way in this big ol’ universe of ours.

Thus, as part of the contest, we want to make sure you’re paying attention. For the next ten days, each each day we will be posting an image of the alieneeples in some kind of predicament on our social media pages (Facebook, G+, and / or Twitter). It will be your job to report back on the contest form what dangers they’re trying to avoid this time, and each time you do will give you additional entries into the contest.

We’ll even be nice. Here is Day One’s photo:

If only one of them had a whip of some kind…

But enough sitting around: let’s get out there and save those aliens!

From now until midnight on Saturday, June 27th, you can check the contest out on our Facebook page, or by entering below. Just follow the entry form, and proceed with the contest. The more you do, even if just one, you still have a better chance than not entering at all. Of course you’re welcome to do that too. But your odds of winning drop to zero. No pressure or anything.
