Come on down to your local computer and celebrate the release of Jamey Stegmaier’s new Kickstarter-centric book!
Jamey Stegmaier, the public half of the well-known Stonemaier Games, has long been documenting his successes and setbacks on Kickstarter for some time on his website. Over time, these ‘Kickstarer Lessons‘ have become so instrumental for other new designers when making campaigns that they took a life of their own, and Jamey decided to put them to further use. This book was the result of that endeavor.
A Crowdfunder’s Strategy Guide: Build a Better Business by Building Community releases on September 14th and will be available via Amazon and a handful of other distributions.
Kickstarter has undeniably changed the gaming industry. Its effect on the hobby is notable for publishers, designers, and consumers alike. To that end, we the Cardboard Republic thought it would be worthwhile to help the community share in the book’s release by announcing that we will be hosting Jamey for a virtual book tour!
We invite you to join us and Jamey online at 9PM EDT on Thursday, September 17th via Google Hangout. We’ll chat briefly about the book and what it means for the hobby before opening up to a Q&A where you have the opportunity to ask him any questions you may have about his book, Kickstarter, or the Stonemaier Games company he grew with it.
